VSEDC’s Best Buy Teen Tech Center (BBTTC) is excited to start a digital partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS)! We will start offering certification preparation courses for piloting drones and using the customer relationship management software Salesforce, thanks to funding from Amazon to support and enhance digital education and innovation for South LA’s community youth and adults.

This premier digital partnership will launch October 2023 with two important certification preparation programs. All certification prep programs are open to the community youth and adults, and will take on a hybrid schedule.
- Drone Certification Preparation Program
We will offer 2 levels of drone certification preparation courses.- The first level is for the Recreational UAS Safety Test “TRUST” certification where you will be taken through basic drone guidelines such as drone education and testing on important safety and regulatory information. This is a total 10 hour course.
- The second level is for the “Part 107 Drone Pilot License” certification. This is a more immersive program that will help you understand the regulations, operating requirements, and procedures for safely flying drones, and prepare you to become certified as a drone pilot. This is a 6 month course.
- Salesforce Certification Preparation Program
- This course prepares you to understand the basic administrative functions Salesforce offers. These include introductions on how to use Salesforce’s customer relationship management which will especially help VSEDC’s small business clients achieve efficiencies and reporting. Non-VSEDC clients can also sign up to participate.
