This certification allows VSLDC to serve as a private entity that is solely dedicated to delivering responsible, affordable lending to help entrepreneurs with minimal income, low assets, and those facing other monumental disadvantages that keep stifle their growth potential.

Vermont-Slauson Local Development Corporation (VSLDC) has been a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) since 2018 and is an affiliate of Vermont-Slauson Economic Development Corporation (VSEDC).
We believe that to start, sustain, and grow a small business, one also needs access to affordable capital.
Thus, in addition to providing small business technical assistance, training, and 1on1 mentoring, VSLDC also offers two affordable loan products:
Microloan
$5,000 to $50,000
Small Business Loan
$50,001 to $250,000
Minimum Requirements
- Credit Score 620
- Two years of business tax returns (1040 Schedule C is also acceptable) and/or Personal Tax Returns
- Three months of the most recent business checking account statements
