Are you a ‘Mom & Pop’ landlord in Los Angeles County (excluding the City of LA) who’s faced challenges due to unpaid rent during the pandemic? The Los Angeles County Rent Relief Program is here to support you! 

Eligible landlords can apply for up to $30,000 in rental assistance per unit, with a maximum of $120,000, to cover rental arrears and related expenses since April 2022.

The application portal is open from December 12, 2023, to January 12, 2024. This initiative is crucial as the last COVID-19 tenant protections end on January 31, 2024. 

  • Total Funds Available: $68,666,000 in grants for eligible landlords. 
  • Usage of Grants: For unpaid rental debt and related expenses like utilities. 
  • Eligibility: Landlords in LA County (excluding the City of LA) with units still occupied by impacted tenants. 
  • Priority Applicants: Landlords in high-need areas, with household income below 80% of LA County AMI, and who own no more than four rental units.
