Free hybrid webinars for LA-based Black Street Vendors will cover permits, digital marketing and how to maneuver the loan process
The Juneteenth festival in Leimert Park is right around the corner, and we want to make sure Black street vendors in the City of Los Angeles are prepared with permits. That is why Vermont Slauson Economic Development Corporation has partnered with DJ Qwess, Elevate Culture, and Chase Bank to bring From Start to Scale, a hybrid series of online or in-person classes to LA’s Black Street Vendors.
The series kicks off on April 21st with Orientation.
All sessions meet from 10:00AM to 11:30AM.
From Start to Scale series schedule:
- April 21 – Orientation – meet with the program leaders, learn what your resources are
- April 26 – Permits & Certification – VSEDC leads this hands-on session where you apply for permits and certifications for your sidewalk vending business.
- May 3 – Tools for your credit journey – Jordan King from Chase Bank goes over what to expect when you apply for a small business loan.
- May 10 – Build a Foundation with Digital Marketing – Lisa Stevens from Chase Bank
If you are unable to attend, but still need assistance with permits, please contact VSEDC for one-on-one assistance. (323) 753-2335
