We celebrated our BHM Pitch Competitors with food and cash prizes
Last Wednesday, we hosted winners from our Black History Month Pitch Competition for a luncheon at the Vermont Slauson Economic Development Corporation headquarters!
The event was held as a culmination of the journey and accomplishments of our Black History Month Pitch competitors. Each of the winners of the competition are Black women entrepreneurs and business owners from Los Angeles. Hosting these incredible business owners in the middle of Women’s History Month was not lost on us – we are thrilled to continue to celebrate these business owners and their future successes.
The pitch competitors stopped by VSEDC HQ for a few hours to pick up their checks from their BHM Pitch Competition winnings, and stayed for food and good company. The luncheon was generously catered by The Sammiche Shoppe, a Black-owned restaurant chain with locations in Inglewood and Los Angeles.
